Cirque du Soleil performers will be at Trop for Rays game Sunday
Move over, KÀ. The performers of Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba troupe in Orlando are coming to Tropicana Field on Sunday to entertain the crowd before the nighttime game against the Boston Red Sox.

I was just watching Jeopardy "Kids" version on TV with my daughters, and the question to the answer was "World Juggling Day". Pretty cool. I forget exactly how the answer was worded, but the category was something like "World Celebrations" and the answer was something like "what "World" Day is in mid June and might be celebrated by throwing three torches in the air, or something to that effect.
The writer does not bother to learn or find out the juggler's name, but seems to enjoy what he does. Anyone know who he is writing about?
Ken wrote "The Art of Juggling", which was a key book for me, as a developing juggler. It was the first juggling book that I read and I still reference it today whenever I perform my Library program.

Ok, I know it is not juggling, but it is pretty cool news. Besides, it is my blog, and if I cannot use it for a little shameless self promotion, that what good is it?
The Big News Is!!!!
I returned just last week from setting the very first Guinness World Record with Paddle Balls. I set the record for the most Paddle Balls done by one person, by doing 7. I have done 8 and 9, but wanted to save a little room to "grow the record" at a later date. It was a great experience and I am very happy to be the first one to put a Paddle Ball record into the Guinness World Record Database. I have a sense that it will be just the first of many. I will attach a few links to video of this event. I will also attach a link to The Paddle Ball King's website, where you can go to the "Blog" section and read the whole story, if you feel so inclined.

I recently had a chance to make the pilgrimage to "jugglers' mecca", the great Enrico Rastelli's grave in the village of Bergamo Italy. I was in Milan setting a Guinness World Record for the most Paddle Balls done by one person, and had the opportunity to make a side trip with fellow juggler, and friend, Aaron Greg. I will post some photos of our visit...

Those Fabulous Flying Karamazov Brothers have teamed up with the NYC Fire Fighters to produce a Fire Safety Video. Sounds like fun. I hope that we get a chance to view it online. If anyone knows when/if this ends up online, please post a link here. Any of you K Bros. reading this? Click here to read a story in the NY Times recently about the making of the video.

I came across this vintage promo shot of "The Tumescos", Michael Moschen and Penn Jillette, when they were but young pups in the variety business. They have both gone on to achieve great heights in this biz since then. Very fun image. It received a lot of interest when I posted it on my Facebook page, so I figured it worthy of posting here, as well.

Matt's one man show "Three Balls and a Good Suit" has been receiving rave reviews in the British Press.
Click here to read a great article on Juggler Walter Hauck, of " The Juggling Houcs", who just celebrated his 100th Bday recently.
(Thanks to Dick Franco for pointing this one out to me)
